I recently read The Fault In Our Stars by John Green for my English independent study unit and I found it so heartbreakingly beautiful. I have been so consumed with the internet lately that I haven't picked up a book in ages. I used to be an avid reader but I have read maybe 3 books in the past year that weren't school related. The Fault In Our Stars made me want to start reading for fun again. John Green has such a way with words, he could probably make the most disturbing thing sound lovely and poetic. If you have lost your love for books in this digital age like I had I encourage you to find a book that interests you and dive in, fall in love again. The emotions you feel and the insight you obtain from reading a good book can't be grasped from doing anything else. Some books I suggest are; The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, The Maze Runner by James Dashner, The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, An Abundance of Katherines by John Green (I just picked this one up and can't wait to read it). Not a very diverse list I know, but what can I say I haven't read many books lately. As I start to read more I will compile a better list.
Until then happy reading,
Alisse
